there was a message on the answering machine when i got up this morning. it goes something like this:

i'm calling from charlotte, north carolina. last night, in the middle of the night, we recieved two phone calls from this number. the number here is xxx-xxx-xxxx. if you have buisness with somebody at this number, please call during daylight hours. if you don't, please don't call. thank you.

nobody here called that number. alana was out of this place by around 7 p.m. because the ac is broken again. i got home at 11, and i didn't call anybody... molly didn't get home until 2 a.m., and we sat around and played the ps2 until she left again at 4 a.m. we didn't touch the phone. i went to bed around 5 a.m. i suppose there's a chance that alana could have come home after that, and called north carolina, but i don't really consider 5:30 a.m. to be the middle of the night... and if somebody here called that number, it wasn't an accident. we don't even have long distance on our phone. to call long distance, you either have to call a long distance company (or something; i don't really know how to do this) first, and then call the number, or you have to use a phone card. i don't see how some lady could think we called her number twice when we didn't even call it once...
